iCloud photo library stuck uploading SOLUTION

The very first day iCloud photo library (beta) was available I started using it on my iPhone. It uploaded all of my photo's (about 4500) and as I chose to optimize the storage it did exactly that. Somewhere in october it stopped uploading new photos. Old ones were available in iCloud (webversion) just no new ones uploading. After over 4 months of agony I switched it off yesterday, deleting all the optimized versions of the originals from my iPhone.

Luckily they were all still there (iCloud that is). I gave it a had reset and turned it back on again and within a couple of hours it had uploaded the remaining 600 photos to icloud and downloaded the optimized versions of all the other photos. Everthing works exactly is it should now.
