I am interested in purchasing a 13 inch Macbook Air (Should be the 2015 version) and wonders if I can upgrade the RAM at the later date i.e. not during the point of purchase.
If not, hows the process which Apple Online Store upgrades our ram? i.e. workmanship?

What do you mean "hows the workmanship"? It's soldered to the motherboard at the factory like all the other components. If you have doubts about how well the motherboard is made, then perhaps you should be looking at something else. Apple's products are consistently among the best on the planet.
No. The RAM is soldered to the motherboard. Whatever is in it when you buy it is what you get. There is no way at all to upgrade it after purchase.
