healthkit stopped updating data from at least one source

I have an iphone 5s with 8.2 installed. Healthkit has been working great until now. I use the Health app with Taylor Smartrack (smart scale), myfitnesspal, runkeeper, and digifit. Last night I had a problem where I figured out myfitnesspal wasn't registering active calories from digifit. That is too bad and I'm not sure that I can fix it.

Today, I got on the scale as usual and the Taylor scale loaded up to Smartrack. Normally, the new weight shows not only in that app, but right into the Health app and then feeds into myfitnesspal, runkeeper, digifit, etc. Not today.

I tried:

-taking another weight measurement. No luck.

-restarting the phone

-doing a hard reset

finally, I uninstalled Smartrack and reinstalled it. Now things are worse because the historic weight data is gone from the Health app as well. I'm working with Taylor but I don't have much luck.

Apple's support article on this says to upgrade to at least 8.02. I'm on 8.2.

What else should I try?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
