Stationed overseas now back to the states

I was stationed in the United Kingdom. When I lived there I had to set up payment in british pounds to buy music and the like. Now that im stateside, I had to change over back to the US Dollar but now all the songs I bought are no longer showing up for me. Is there a way to get it back or am I screwed since I no longer live over seas and payment for those songs were made over there?

You won't be able to potentially redownload them unless you return here to the UK and have a UK billing address on your account. As well as being tied to the account, content is also tied to the country that it was bought in.

You haven't got downloaded copies of them anywhere e.g. in your computer's iTunes library, on an iOS device, on your backup of your downloads/library ?
