Where do I find percent symbol using macbook
It depends on the computer's keyboard layout.
For an USA or Canadian one, it's Shift and 5.
For other countries, open the Language & Text pane of System Preferences, choose to show the input menu and the Keyboard & Character viewer, click on the menu with the flag, and show the Keyboard Viewer.

Thank you for your quick response. I had my son write the question and it was suppose to be the degree symbol, that little circle that you would use say after putting in the temperature - instead of saying 375 degrees, you would use a little o superscript after the 375. I wasn't looking for percent symbol.
I am in the US, if that is helpful.

If you mean °, it's Shift+Option+8 in the USA and Canada.
