Slow computer performance

My Apple MacBook Pro has become increasingly slow. How can I restore the speed of when it was new?

Good evening

I have the same problem. Initially it was because of supposedly iCloud and TimeMachine. But now TM is done

and unplugged and iCloud is full and have done my back up on GoogleDrive, it is beach balling me again and this is just tyring me down to death.

It is an outrage really. I don't even see the App which is designed to check what is wrong.

Please advise

Hey there Ponyisland,

I understand that your computer may be performing a little more slowly than normal. I have two articles for you to look at that may be able to help you address this situation:

OS X Mavericks: If graphics-intensive tasks slow down your Mac

OS X Mavericks: If your Mac runs slowly

Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.
