iTunes doesn't recognise iPhoto

I am unable to load photos from iPhoto to my phone via iTunes.

When selecting the photos tab in iTunes, I am asked which folder I would like to copy my photos from, but I am not provided with the option to select iPhoto library. This differs from the screenshots I've seen elsewhere on the web seem to show that you are able to select the program itself.

What I am provided with is a drop down menu asking me to specify which file path my photos are saved under, however the only options available are actual folders. iPhoto library whilst being visible is greyed out.

Thanks for your help.

Hi obiwanisgreat,

If you are not able to sync photos from iPhoto to your iPhone via iTunes, I'm wondering which versions you have. When I check mine I'm not seeing the iPhoto library but albums, Events and Faces (or All photos, albums, Events and Faces).

There are other articles for earlier iTunes versions too, example,
