Hello. Does anyone know where I can install OS X Leopard, but not from a disk? I've tried searching the web. No luck. I want a DMG file to install Leopard. Please reply even if you're just saying you don't know how or it can't be done.
You have to boot from a Leopard Install CD (a set of CDs actuall). Mac OS X Leopard will not install from a .dmg
If you have another Mac with PowerPC Leopard, you can clone that Mac to the destination Mac using a Firewire cable putting the destination Mac into Target Disk mode.
It was not until Lion that Apple first offered downloadable Mac OS X.
Nowhere, unless you're part of a corporate or educational institution which makes heavy usage of Macs(in that case, contact your IT department.)

You might want to start your search for the Leopard CDs. I think you are going to find that they are far more expensive then the optical drive.
Thanks for the super fast reply! So, you're saying that I can't install a Leopard DMG file from anyone? That's sad. Is there a really cheap disk or USB drive out there I can buy to install Leopard, instead?
It's a PowerPC Mac. And if I get a USB drive or a CD of Leopard, I'm just going to make a DMG file myself then. So, I'f you're worried that my computer can't boot from a USB drive, that doesn't matter
Hmmm, but you can't boot from a DMG file, you need a running OSX to mount it don't you?
My Mac is running OS X. Just not Leopard. I can also attach it to a MacBook Pro running Yosemite if I have to.
And, is it a PPC Mac, or an Intel Mac?
Most PPC Macs cannot boot from USB, only Firewire.
Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
* Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
minimum system requirements
* 512MB of memory (I say 1.5GB for PPC at least, 2-3GB minimum for IntelMacs)
* DVD drive for installation
* 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
