my backup of 3/29/15 isn't showing up on itunes for an option to restore backup.
How do I find my most recent backup if it isnt showing that there was one made for my new iphone?

iTunes keeps only one backup in iTunes (it keeps the 3 most recent in iCloud). To restore a backup the iOS device you are restoring to must have the same or newer version of iOS as the version used to make the backup.
