I have updated the portable devices software, it was already upto date anyway.I just want to automatically transfer all phots, inc videos and folders in the photo folder to my laptop but I am unable to do this .Please help.

You can only transfer photos in the Camera Roll; photos in the Photo App's folders other than the Camera Roll were synced from a computer, and can only be managed from that computer.
