How to fix table on Pages (mac)?

So I am using the Pages document on mac. I have created several tables. Whenever I have really long paragraphs on one cell/row, that row moves to the next page... leaving first page with a huge blank space.

I have searched solutions; however, nothing seems to work. I have already tried unchecking "prevent widow & orphan lines" but that method does not work for me.
