where is the devices list for syncing to iTunes on an iMac
if its the one under the file tab, Its not showing my apple tv. This would explain why the apple tv is not syncing to my iMac and home sharing working.

Which Apple TV do you have, the later black model doesn't show in the devices list in iTunes and doesn't sync with iTunes either.
