Why buy Final Cut Pro if you can't Burn movie to DVD?

I am new to mac, I have a 15 inch mac pro book real nice with 16GB ram. Want to edit movies on the mac then burn them with an external drive to DVD to sell online with my business. I am about to spend the 299.00 on final cut pro but how would I burn the movies to a DVD? Thanks.

Sounds like your Mac is newish and has no DVD drive??

FCP X can burn a DVD directly from it's Share/Export options.

You can get an Apple variety or purchase a third party compatible type.

If you intend to produce Bluray stuff then you need a third party bluray burner.

The Apple USB superdrive will not produce bluray.
