compressor not showing sidechain button

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm fairly new with logic pro x and I have been trying to learn about the new compressor and I notice in all the tutorial videos I see on youtube that in the top right corner of the compressor, right above the "view:" there should be a sidechain button/or option with what appears to be a busing option as well. My compressor is not giving me those options and its a little frustrating because I am trying to figure out how to sidechain compress certain instruments with the kick 😕 I would appreciate any help/suggestions/etc. Thank you. 🙂
