Can't find my iphotos after a backup

I recently brought my macbook into apple and decided to back everything up before I took it in. I used time machine and used mypassport to store everything. When I set my macbook back up all my files were still there except my iphotos. I'm not sure what happened to them as I had about 10k+. I can't find them anywhere in mypassport so if anybody has some type of direction for me I would greatly appreciate it.

my software is OS X 10.9.5 (13F34) and I have a mid 2010 macbook.
