Bootcamp missing - no bootable device insert boot disk

Hi!

After upgrading my Macbook Pro to Yosemite, my Windows cant boot. No windows detected in boot option (pressing [option] at startup), there are just two list : MAC HD and RECOVERY HD. But [BOOTCAMP Windows] still exist in start up disk. When I choose Windows for start up disk, it gave me error "no bootable device insert boot disk blablablabla"

can anybody help?

On a single-disk Mac, more than 4 partitions are not normally allowed, unless manually customized. You have 5 entries (GPT 1-5) as shown in your GPT output.


You need to create custom MBR for this to work. Please post the output of


sudo dd if=/dev/rdisk0s5 count=1 2>/dev/null | hexdump -C


This will show the first block of partition from your Bootcamp partition.

I installed windows via bootcamp in maverick and make it available virtually in Parallel Dekstop, there is no problem whether i ran windows standalone or virtually on Maverick, but then i did clean install Yosemite from USB because my MB stuck when trying to upgrade to Yosemite.

The entry between GPT4 and GPT5 is usually created when Windows is installed using EFI Boot (it is 128 MB) and it is supposed to be a Microsoft Reserved Partition. The recovery of your data is partially dependent on this answer.
