Try the EVOC vocoder. You need to set up an additional audio channel for a microphone and run the guitar signal into the vocoder via the side chain. Take a look in the Logic FX manual for deeper information.

I plug my guitar into Apogee GiO and load up the Apogee template.
From there, I could find the EVOC Vocoder that you mentioned.
Do I need to load up the Guitar template, instead of the Apogee template?
