Bass boost?

While the bass is obviously not as good as my JBL Creature II speakers (since it has its own sub woofer), i have to say i am pleasantly surprised with the kind of sounds i get from its built-in speakers. They blow my titanium powerbook's speakers away completely.

But, I too am a Bass junkie, so I use the JBL's when i need to feel my music. For all other purposes, the built-in speakers are great.

Hmmm....I don't know of one myself, but I was under the impression as soon as you plug in something into the audio out port, your computer sends all sounds through that instead of the internal speakers.

If there is a way around that, I am unaware of it.

Something worth trying is an add on equalizer(software) such as iWOW. I notice a difference in bass performance when using it. You can find this product at the apple downloads ( http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/ipod_itunes/iwow.html) and it ,of course, has a demo mode so you can try it before you buy it.
