The unpleasant people who do this have discovered that if they keep creating new Apple IDs then new forum accounts it makes it a lot more difficult for the Hosts to remove them. (Previously the Hosts could identify one spammer and ban him, though he would be back the next day with a different ID. Now spammers are using each ID for only a few posts then creating a new ID, and there are presumably several of them acting in concert).
The Hosts are dealing with this as best they can but it's an uphill job. There are patches of spam posts ever few seconds for longish periods and each one has to be discovered and removed.

Thanks for the info! Wish they would spend their time on something useful.

What about IP Address blocking? Most SPAMmers are not quite sophisticated enough to spoof IP addys.
From experience... For email SPAMmers, TimeWarnerCable (RoadRunner) will block an entire ISP's range of IP addys if one of their clients is guilty of SPAMming - thus making the ISP deal with their nefarious customers before reinstating the rest of their clients.

I have no idea whether this is applicable. Possibly the Hosts - who are struggling with this deluge, particularly of the recent Korean spam - have looked into this.
This spam is apparently for casinos and they would have access to funds to hire the best. It has been a long time since I've seen spammers that could not spoof IP addresses and as Roger said I'm sure this is the first thing moderators looked at. Added problem: since they operate a Korean, Chinese and Japanese site they risk shutting down one of their sites.
As we both are likely aware, blocking IPs has been SOP in forum software management tools for years. JiveSoftware certainly has it in their "release" product. Spoofing IPs or changing them often - both pretty sophisticated for 'bush league' SPAMmers - is the only offense against such a defense. Ah well, we trudge on... ÇÇÇ
But it isn't near as effective as it was say a decade ago. For blocking an unruly individual it might work...for a time...but for today's spammers of any level is common. As you say we trudge on, things change and the chess game continues. I doubt the ones posting here are 'bush league'.
