Since the most recent update when I receive a phone call my husbands phone rings as well. We share the same cloud but this has never happened before.

Settings>>>>faceTime>>>iPhone mobile calls>>>off
Thank you. However, when I go in to settings my facetime is grayed out. I can't access it all
look at the settings on his phone.
assuming FaceTime was ok until update then it is likely the update corrupted the iOS installation
Try basic troubleshooting
Reset hold home / sleep buttons until Apple Logo appears then release both
if no change
Restore as new and see if facetime appears then add your backup if corrupts again it is a setting in backup causing it
in which case re-build
