so, i am trying to restore my itouch 4g using itunes. when i connect my itouch, itunes tells me that it needs to be restored like normal. but when the package is extracting, my itouch just suddenly turns off. then itunes says it cannot be restored because there are no devices that can be found.

- Reboot the computer
- Try another cable.
- Try another USB port
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
i am able to connect the itouch when the itouch shows the usb icon but it turns off after around 20 secs during the extraction of the software in itunes when restoring. can the usb cable still be the problem?
Yes since you may have a poor connection
