Could anyone tell me if I can delete defunct/incorrect email addresses from appearing as an autofill option? Deleting from contacts doesn't work. I have a late 2013 iMac ( Mavericks 10.9 5).

Right click on the addresses when they appear and I believe you can keep them from coming up again there.
To delete old email addresses go to: Window > Previous Recipients
click on the old email address and press the ‘Remove from List’ button.

Help! This issue is driving me crazy. Perhaps a dumb question, but how do I get to "Window.Previous Recipients"?
Edited to Add....Never Mind - I just found "Window", thank goodness.
You will also want to make sure the old address is not in one of your contacts in the Contacts app. I had just that scenario happen a week or two ago.
