Good Afternoon. I had a similar issue today. What I did to bypass it was to open Safari and immediately (and I do mean immediately, even before the browser had time to load the page) click on the X in the URL address field (X in the far right of the URL Field). Then quickly change the name of the URL. Prior to having the page load, I entered Safari preferences and changed the Home Page in the General Tab.

Then I went through this list to try and identify the adware.Remove unwanted adware that displays pop-up ads and graphics on your Mac - Apple Support

Read "Ransomware" web pages.

There is probably an OK or similarly named button at the bottom of that dialog in the center of your screenshot. Due to the vertical dimension of the dialog box you can't reveal it but that doesn't mean it's not there. If it is, pressing the Return or Enter key in an attempt to dismiss it will probably cause the dialog box to immediately reappear.

If you can, move that dialog box out of the way so that we can read the URL loading the scam webpage. The http:// address you posted in this Discussion title doesn't load anything interesting, and I'd like to determine the reason you can't fix this in the usual manner.
