When recording louder vocals in GarageBand there is an echo. At first I thought it was my cheap mic so I bought new high quality equipment, but it's happening again. My echo and reverb are off and yet it's still happening. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks, I didn't know about that. Total beginner here. So I tried that and when I took both off and kind of screwed up the rest of my recording. It didn't happen when I recorded the first chorus, but it's happening when I'm recording the second.

😮 In which way is the recording now screwed up?
It just sounds really raw. It's odd. With the reverb and echo on the verses sound great, but the choruses sound like I'm in a different room with bad acoustics.
Try the different patches for the Master Track:
Show the Master Track (from the "Track" menu, "Show Master Track").
Then select the Master Track and select one of the patches from the Library - start with "Basic"
