My family currently uses one iCloud account to keep our contacts and media in sync - and it's working fairly well. We are interested in enabling Family Sharing and I'm curious if we'll still be able to share a contacts, music, movies, photos the way we are today.

That's good news. Can you please elaborate?
You can share all the content you each purchase under your own ID's from iTunes, but when it comes to contacts, calendars etc, you will all need to log into the ID which holds the contacts etc etc as a secondary account at settings > Mail, contacts, calendars.
