wd passport still says full

wd passport still says full

My WD passport still says full although I've deleted work from it.

How do I get the space back while leaving what's on there on there?

Did you empty the Trash?

What does Apple icon in upper left>About this Mac>Storage say about what is using the disk space?

Thank you for that....I thought once I'd removed it from the passport it was deleted...but the work was sitting in the Mac bin. Gone now thanks to you and I now have space back. Ta C
