I can't erase my old iPhone - help!

I am trying to erase my old iPhone 4s however when I go to erase all contemy and settings, or prompts me to enter my Apple ID Password which i enter but then it says there was an error connecting to icloud and option of cancel or retry but just keeps going round in circles! I want to sell my phone but can't when everything is still on it!


PPlease help!!

Hi

Go to settings iCloud turn off find my iPhone.

Then settings down to reset Restore iPhone back to factory settings.

Then it,s ready for new user.

With your suggestion, Ali_Lalehroo - connected my old phone to itunes, where I removed all apps and unchecked syncs then applied those settings to the old phone. I did not think I could still connect to wifi without the phone being activated, but I was able to and then my apple id would erase my settings and history. turned off find my phone and then reset as a new phone.
