Quicktime cannot be opened

Quicktime is unable to launch after upgrading to Yosemite.

Any suggestions?


I can't remove or reinstall.

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

I understand that you are unable to open QuickTime on your Mac. To begin the troubleshooting process, I would first suggest testing this situation out in a new user to help isolate the issue. Please let me know if the issue continues in a new user account as well as what happens when you try to open QuickTime. Does it bounce in the dock without ever actually opening? Does it give any errors or alerts?
