how to open iOS pages doc in OS X Yosemite IWork 08 pages?

Hei,

i'm useing Pages on Ipad IOS 8 and on my Imac OS X Yosemite. Now i tried to open a Pages Doc i wrote on my Ipad via iCloud Drive on Pages from Iwork 08 on my IMac. I doesn't works. There came a sign: ..could not open it.... "index.xml" misses...
What is the problem??
The older Pages Docs i wrote on my ipad - 2-3 y. old - were opened in Terminal as i tried to open them on my Imac

What do i have to do?

The iOS Pages on your iPad uses Pages 5.5.2 formats, which is constantly changing with every point release.

Pages 5 can not open Pages '08 files. Pages '09 can.

Interesting a more fuller explanation of the file incompatibilities was blocked.

I have tracked down the block.

I am not allowed to say a certain version of this software is incompatible with all other versions of OSX.

You can't open an iWork '08 documents in Pages 5. Use iWork for iCloud to open the documents from the iPad or share them as Word to use them on your Mac.
