My Son deleted FaceTime on the IMAC (iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1067 MHz DDR3,
The version in the APP Store won't let me buy, it says my OS is too new. Is there anything I can do to get it?

If it's in a backup, restore it from there. If not, back up your data(as a precaution), click here, follow the instructions, and reinstall Mac OS X.

Thank you, for the reply. Reinstalling is a bit extreme wish they would simply update their APP. I really appreciate the solution!
You can't update an app that is no longer there.
How did you delete it?
If it is really deleted, it appears in the Appstore's Purchased page !!

I understand that. The FaceTime APP in the APP Store won't install due to my OS being too new. I was hoping they would update the APP in the APP store.
FaceTime is built in to the version of OS X you are running. You can not, as you've discovered, use the version from the app store. If you've been backing up, restore the app from your backup. If you have not been backing up, you will need to re-install OS X to get it back.
As Niel and KiltedTim say:
start the mac while holding the CMD+R keys: it starts in the RecoveryPartition, choose "install OS".
This installs OSX again, it will let your user data alone, but of course you have backups !
