If I were to restore my macbook to factory settings, and i wanted to put my backed up files back on, how can i go about that?

It depends on the method used.
If you used Time Machine or made a bootable clone, you can use the Setup Assistant to migrate your data.
If you drag-copied files, drag them back.

Thanks for the fast reply! And Yea I used Time Machine and backed it up into my external hardrive. What would be the process after restoring it? Do I just connect my hard rive in and it'll go into place or do i manually have to drag stuff?
If you use the Setup Assistant or Time Machine to restore, everything will be in place. If you use the Migration Assistant separately, it'll put the data into a different user account.

Okay ONE MORE question. I just backed up my computer into my hard drive through Time Machine. Now I want to restore my MacBook, Which way do you recommend I do it? And if its not too much can you give me steps PLEASE lol
Use the Setup Assistant; it'll ask you if you want to migrate your data. The steps needed will appear onscreen.
