Clarification of fair use in education

Hi all,

I have been asked a question in the local school I work for.

We have multiple classrooms that each have their own budget to purchase music within the iTunes store. They have asked if it is possible for them to share the music with each other, for example - make it available on a network share to any device within the school for presentations / exercises. I'm unsure after reading through the terms and conditions if this is possible or against the TOS.

Please remember that this is a registered school, and the music is actually purchased by the school. Is it fair to use on multiple devices?

If anyone can point me in the right direction in the TOS that would be great.

Thanks in advance for your help 🙂

The general answer would be no. There are too many legal ramifications involved, so Apple does not make such allowances for anything downloaded from them.
