Iphone 5 won't play some recorded videos

my iphone 5 won't play some of my videos that I've recorded myself.

a sort of Loading symbol comes up but they won't play.

when I tried to sync them with my MacBook they wouldn't play on that either, saying it was unable to play selected video.

iis there anyways I can retrieve them?
