I bought a new iMac today, and I want to sell the old one. Should I have install disks? I don't remember getting any.
How can I wipe the hard drive and install an OS without them?
iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10), I just updated to Yosemite.
Click here and try using the Internet Recovery system. If it's not available on that Mac, you need disks; if it is, it can be used to erase the internal drive and install a fresh OS.
