Google Chrome has security and privacy issues.

Safari is the only web browser developed by Apple for exclusive use on Apple products. It is optimized for performance and power efficiency and will result in the greatest battery life. Unlike Google, Apple also goes to great lengths to protect your privacy and safeguard your personal information, whereas Google's mission is to intrude upon it in every conceivable way.

The differences could not be more extreme.

Firefox is not nearly as power-efficient as Safari, but it will not burden a Mac with a plethora of resource-intensive processes like Google will. It's more customizable than Safari.

In order of personal preference:

Firefox

Chrome. (I do not have it installed) Because it is Google does not mean it is good.
