Why does my iTunes say there are way more photos on my phone than there actually are?

When I connect my iPhone to my iTunes on my laptop it says that there are 1199 photos on my phone that takes up 3.38 GB of data but I only have about 80 (in all the albums total). It says the Photos & Camera takes up 3.4 GB in the Manage Storage? But those 1199 photos are nowhere on my phone??

iPhone 5c, iOS 8.2, also w/ Macbook Pro
