In random order:

1. the apps you mention are using/needing large caches/buffers: the free space on your startup disk is normally good enough for a HDD, but not when you use these apps, let alone when you use an SSD !!

In case of an SSD this size you need at least about 30-50 GB free for the GarbageCollection alone even on a Apple SSD with trim: as soon as you do a lot of reads and writes, the garbage collection consumes all free space almost, and thus slows down the whole system.

I propose to move some Libraries or other large file collections off the SSD to an external disk. Say about 100GB.

Now the Garbage Collection is not in the way of heavy app read and write actions.

2. Your system has been infected by malware: download AdwareMedic from thesafemac.com and run it.

3. You have old softwares on your mac, and also software that is counterproductive. But as soon as you have done 1 an 2, you will probably not notice it anymore, with your fast SSD. It deserves however not a beaty prize....

4. Remove all items in SystemPreferences->Users&Accounts->LoginItems with the minus sign underneath.

Restart and empty the trash.

Give Garbage cleaning a few minutes to do its job, then see how it is now.
