iTunes Download Problem
Since Yosemite system update I cannot download purchased iTunes songs onto desktop.
However I can on iPhone and iPad.
Error 5000. Any ideas please?

Is the error number 5000 or -5000 ? If -5000 then try the troubleshooting on this page : iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting - Apple Support

The first box announcing download probs after clicking "songs awaiting download"
says that I don't have sufficient privileges. Songs appear in grey with ! in My Music.
On second attempt to "resume download" I get the "problem -5000" relating to the
troubleshooting article kindly provided.
I've done everything on the list regarding firewall, reset cache, network prefs etc..
to no avail.
I don't have iCloud Drive prefs on. May that have some bearing on things?

The exclamation mark means that the music files aren't where iTunes is expecting to find them
For the privileges, you've tried using Disk Utility to repair permissions, and checked that you have read and write access to the folders where your iTunes library is stored ?
