Can't export a card

When I hit export button while a card project is selected in iPhoto 9.4.3 a dropdown menu unveils that provides several options for exporting a slideshow. Is it a bug? Can a card be exported to other formats (say, PDF)?

You do't export to pdf, you can print to pdf in the standard print dialogue or right click on it and choose 'Save as pdf'
