Q: I can't sync my contacts and calendars to my PC
I am running Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013, and I recently migrated my IMAP server into Google Apps (MAPI). I am using Outlook 2013 to manage my email and calendars on the PC, with Google Apps as the platform for my email.
Ever since that migration, I cannot get iCloud to sync my contacts and calendars/reminders. I tried uninstalling iCloud completely and reinstalling it. Now, when I check the box to sync my contacts and calendars, and subsequently click on the choice to sync all the calendars (or choose specific calendars..the same result occurs), I get an error message with an option to send the error report to Apple (which I have done).
Prior to the migration, everything was syncing perfectly. I have contacted Google Apps, and they do not offer support on this issue. They'd like me to switch all of my calendars and contacts to Google, and to switch the settings on my iPhone so it will sync with Google. I would prefer not to do this, since I have the iCloud syncing other devices as well.
Has anyone else experienced this problem, and is there a solution? I don't know if it would be helpful to post any of the info from the error log I sent to Apple, but I can, if needed. Thanks!
