Q: Why can't I delete a photo album without syncing?

I have an iphone 4S and used to own a macbook pro. I have an album synced to my iphone that I no longer want to have on the phone, but I don't have the macbook anymore. How do I delete the photo album?

It would need to be done from a computer where you can install iTunes and I don't believe that is possible on a Chromebook.
