Q: iMessage and Facetime weird issue on ipad mini 1
Hi guys,
I'm trying to figure out if I should find an exorcist or a priest now...
So story is that I bought an iPad Mini 1 for my grand to facetime calling and view shared photos. It is an wifi 32GB version. But I've been crazy all over because of this weird issue:
To summarize.
-I'm having 2 ipad: an iPad Air 2 that I'm using and this iPad Mini 1.
-I created a new AppleID to use in this iPad Mini. So I'm having an old AppleID and a new AppleID. And of course I confirmed email address.
Everything so far works perfectly, the iCloud, Itunes, Appstore... Everything, except iMessage and Facetime. I couldn't login and activate iMessage/Facetime on this iPad no matter what. Things would make more sense if this didn't happen:
-I can login and activate then use iMessage/Facetime using both new and old AppleID on my iPad Air without any problem (so this shouldn't be account issue or network)
-I can login and activate then use iMessage/Facetime using the old AppleID on my iPad Mini without any problem (so this shouldn't be iPad issue) while I cannot do the same with new AppleID (which my iPad Air can use normally)
I tried to:
-Set timezone, both auto and manual
-Reset all settings
-Reset network
-Use Google DNS
-Restart this and restart that
-Create another new AppleID, still the same issue.
So far, nothing can solve this issue and I'm frustrated as **** >.<
I'm trying to restore the iPad, this is my final option though. Does anyone have the same problem and got luck to solve this one? Or I need to turn this back to seller?
My iPad Mini and Air are using iOS 8.2.
