Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you have concerns regarding the temperature of your iPhone. This can be normal behavior; however, here is an article that provides additional information to address your concerns.
Keeping iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch within acceptable operating temperatures

Sep 14, 2015 7:48 AM in response to jason269by Sogol S,Hi there,
I have the same problem as my phone heats up after just a few minutes of use (less than 5 minutes). My husband's phone does not behave this way and we both have the same model purchased at the same time. This cant possibly be "normal" as the phone gets SO hot that it is uncomfortable to touch. Even though I don't receive the message saying the phone needs to cool down for the inside temperature of the phone, I am certain Apple didn't mean to make the phone get so uncomfortably hot that I cant hold it to my ear to speak or hold the phone in my hand on the outside.
Thanks,
Sogol
