What generation iPhone, iPad and Apple TV?

Apr 4, 2015 9:27 AM in response to Malignanceby dgt11,Yes, I have enabled AirPlay on both my phone and iPad. My phone is a 5S, my iPad is the newest version and I just bought the Apple TV. I have done everything I can possibly think of and I still can't see anything on my tv screen that I pull up on the web.

Apr 4, 2015 9:58 AM in response to dgt11by vazandrew,Airplay would need to be enabled on Apple TV as well, do you see the icon in control centre as per the support article?

Apr 4, 2015 10:10 AM in response to vazandrewby dgt11,Yes, I have enabled Airplay on my phone and iPad and it is turned on in Apple TV. I seen no icon on my phone or iPad that indicates Airplay although I don't know what it would look like. That's why I'm so baffled, everything seems to be as it should but can't seem to pull up a website and have it go to my TV.

Apr 4, 2015 12:02 PM in response to vazandrewby dgt11,Thank you. I originally went through that whole article and I did everything it said. That's why I am asking Apple Forums. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have everything set the way it should. I just see no 'airplay' icon on my phone or iPad. I have it selected in control panel, but see no icon.
Thanks for your help!

Not sure what you mean. If you don't see the icon then it wouldn't be possible to have airplay selected.
Having no icon would also mean something is preventing the connection. Check that router has appropriate ports open (refer to manual if unsure)

If on WiFi try Ethernet. To see the status of the network, get a report by going to istumbler, netstumbler or similar. Look for signal strength, noise and nearby networks

Apr 4, 2015 12:48 PM in response to vazandrewby dgt11,thanks. Yea, I'm on wi-fi
Also, I just thought there was supposed to be some icon up by the bluetooth, battery, section on the iPhone or iPad. Maybe I was confused.

Apr 4, 2015 12:56 PM in response to dgt11by vazandrew,That would only appear when you're mirroring, which would require you to toggle ON mirroring in control centre (this is all in the support article)
