Replace fans in Powermac G4 Digital Audio

My fans in my PM G4 are acting up. The fan in the power supply is not pushing air through anymore and the other one is really loud. It is being used in a recording studio so it is important that is as quiet as possible.
What size are the fans? Can you recommend really quiet replacements? Can I
replace it myself ( even the one in the power supply)? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

They are all relatively easy to replace.
I just put a couple of SilenX rubbermountes fans in mine and they are really quiet.

I removed some of the grills to ease up airflow and cut down on noise from vibration [all unnecessary but what the heck].

Caution should be exercised with the power supply as it retains a power charge when off. If you research dischargine that it is safer.

My case fan was 120mm and the power supply was 80mm.
Combined the cost was around $30. If you want genuine Apple parts be prepared to spend $50 refurb for just the big fan and upwards of 150 for a new one.

I got my fans from an outfit called East Luna. They were on the mfgrs. site and delivered liked greased lightning. [2 days, and I live in the woods].

THey sell on ebay and also directly, which is a little cheaper. I wouls ask them, they should know.
I looked at an Apple service file that I have and think that the sizes I mentioned are correct.

Open the door to your computer and look in side, directly at the far side, above the drives you will see the large case fan which is the 120. The 80 is inside the PSU and I think that is a standard size.

Good luck.

fragmore:

I already got the silenx fans from East Luna in record time. Thanks for the tip.

I'm in the process of replacing the fans. I have a little problem with the fan. It doesn't have the same connector!!!!!! On the original fan it is a 2 pin male connector, on the silenx it is a 3 pin female connector. Did you just exchange the connector or is there an adapter I can buy?.

Didn't try the power supply yet. I wanna wait until tomorrow so there is no charge left in it.
