Unless your outside the US, it should be taking you to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
You need to scan the system with your antivirus program AND a adware/spyware program like Ewido http://www.ewido.com or your personal adware scanner you prefer. Also empty your temp folder, some malware likes to hide out there
Thanks for responding.
Yes, I'm outside the States, and I'm using Norton.
I'd just like to clarify one point -- I was taken to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
But the source of my downloaded files of itunes and quicktime has the following URL: http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net
So, could anybody let me know whether this is an authentic source?
Im sure it is in that case for the area ytou live in.
Top 2 reasons itunes doesn't open is malware and impoperly installed quicktime.
Scan the system with ewido
THen go here and install "Quicktime WITHOUT iTUnes" http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
