it wont let me install ive been trying for 4 hours really! im so sad i cant use it please help asap i dont know why it wont work :{ 😢

I had a similar issue - bought a new SE, attempted to restore from backup and system kept telling me I needed to install newest software (without specifying version number). I would check the itunes for upgrades - none available! The iTunes Help/About popup says I am using version 12.1.something. hmmmmm. confused! I open the SE specs page and see that it requires version 12.3.something or later(!) Aha!! The link in the answer above (copied here) iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) takes you to a 12.3.something download. Did the download, reinstall, BOOM! problem solved.
