I seem to recall someone set out these details a while ago but unfortunately I can't find the notes I took.

From memory ...

Any letter indicates the factory code.

The first number indicates the LAST digit of the year of manufacture. 'O' will equal either 2000 or 2010 and as you say Magic Mouse, by product release dates, that cannot mean 2000.

The next two numbers indicate the week of that production year.

Would you like to tell us why you need this info; is it a guarantee problem?

Thank you, I'll try this.
No, there is no problem at all. I am just going to buy a used one (used for only one month) but at a ridiculously low price, just don't want to be cheated.
