Apple SuperDrive compatibility

Hey,

I was wondering if the Apple SuperDrive is compatible with the Late-2013 iMac?

Of course. Remember that the Late 2013 iMac does not come with an optical drive, so you can use any (including the Apple USB SuperDrive).

Yes. However the Apple external super drive has only USB 2 capability and is slot loading. Personally, I prefer a drawer loading drive as it's less likely to jam for any reason. The unit I boughtwas Firewire 800 as well as USB 3 capability for faster read capability. I don't have USB 3 so use FW.
