Q: Home sharing & playlist

Just trying to get my head round this, and we are getting on a bit so bear with me.

We own an Imac, which two users me & "the wife"

For a year or so I have used Itunes with an old iTouch (mine), Ipod classic (wife) and more recently an Ipad Air (mine), all under my username and apple ID.

All works well, under my login;

In my itunes "the wife" has her own playlists and these are synced to her classic ipod; for me I just sync everything to iTouch and Ipad.

Now she has her own Iphone 6, so I have switched on Home sharing, I assumed that when she logged in under her login (itunes uses my account ID), and she connected Iphone to Imac she would see my library, and she does !!!

BUT I was expecting to see all the playlists from my library, so that she could sync only those playlist she wants.

But they are not visible ??? just the defaults ones Recently played, top 25, recently added, my top rated, classical and 90s music.

Obviously when she is in the house the iphone sees all the library if i tick more-shared-my_library and then she sees all the playlists on the iphone.

If she jumps in the car though this all disappears, hence why i want to sync her playlists and get those songs onto the Iphone 6

Any thoughts or help much appreciated.

(I had thought to move library to public, but I will hang 10 on this, as I think this is the point of home sharing ??)
